Sandfield Farms Ltd

Client:Sandfields Farm Ltd
Flow Rate:100m³/hr

Background

Sandfield Farms Ltd, are part of the G’s Fresh Group who are one of Europe’s leading farming companies and are the largest salad onion producer in the UK.

The Overall Objective

Sandfield Farms Ltd required a reliable and cost effective system to treat water used to wash salad onions and remove the suspended solids as a result. SPS were originally approached in 2013 when they supplied one of their HB100R Lamella Clarifiers to provide additional treatment capacity, alongside an existing unit.

Sandfield Farm required a significant increase in heir capacity that a previous unit could not cope with. As a result they contacted SPS due to the success of the previous 2013 installation, to provide another customised unit to deal with the increase in capacity.

Solution

SPS fully installed a customised HB100R including walkways to cope with the increased capacity within a small footprint.
