Farndon Waste Water Treatment Works

Client:Imtech Process
Flow Rate:75m³/hr

Background

Farndon Waste Water Treatment Works were at risk of failing the treated water discharge consent limit for Total Suspended solids and Total Phosphorus. Tertiary treatment was required at short notice, within 2 weeks, to ensure there was more headroom for the treated water.

The Overall Objective

The existing Tertiary site was not achieving the desired results which led to Farndon requiring a solution that would effectively lower the Total Suspended Solids and Total Phosphorus in the treated water.

Farndon also required a short term treatment system to enable them to design a long term permanent solution.

Solution

As a result SPS proposed a DAF tertiary treatment system proven from previous work with Southern Water and provided a DAF D50 to treat up to 75m³/hr.
